McNally's Camps are located in some of the best grouse country in Maine. Even though the woods have been cut off, they have grown back as poplar and white birch, no better grouse food. You will find these birds sunning themselves along countless miles of twin rut log roads. This is a good way to see a lot of the area. It also is a good way to get maggiean idea where that big buck is going to be found during deer season. Having a bird dog like Maggie doesn't hurt. It is a great area for bird dogs. October is bird season but here in Northern Maine, the second full week of October is also moose season.
